TSU VA Education Benefits
VA Education Benefits at TSU
Texas Southern University offers VA education benefits through programs like the Montgomery GI Bill®, Post-9/11 GI Bill®, and Vocational Rehabilitation for Disabled Veterans. New and transfer students must complete the VA Application for Benefits (VONAPP) online, receive a Certificate of Eligibility, and submit the TSU Request for Certification to process benefits. Approved tuition payments are applied after course registration and verification. TSU supports student veterans and dependents with accessible funding options for higher education.
Active-duty Service members who plan to use Military Tuition Assistance (TA) are encouraged to consult with their Educational Services Officer (ESO) or designated military education counselors before enrolling in courses at Texas Southern University. The ESO can provide guidance regarding TA eligibility, Service-specific requirements, degree plan approval, funding limitations, and academic planning.
